Can’t wait for the new season !

Well what a superb September that was here at Casa das Videiras ! Temperatures up in the 30′s most day’s here in Central Portugal.

Meals cooked outside , people stretched out by the pool .

October seems to be spoiling us too !! Happy Holidays !!

Another gorgeous morning here at Casa das Videiras ! The guests will be stirring when the aroma of freshly baked Croissants and coffee , filter through ! Talking of which !!!

Swooning temperatures in Central Portugal last week , did not stop the Birthday fun ! The B&B was full of laughter, Happy Day’s .

Casa das Videiras is buzzing this weekend ! Lots of lovely smells from the Portuguese cooks in the kitchen . Hope the sun carries on shining for our group from Lisbon .

Well after what seem’s like a good two weeks of early evening thunderstorms here in Central Portugal, I look forward to a superb June ! Lots to do and lots of  new guests to welcome . On a more domestic level, yet again we have some youngsters enjoying the safety of our courtyard !

Minor incident at Casa das Videiras this morning ! A bit of a wall maintenance issue. Thankfully Husband not seriously damaged, just sporting  a little cut on forehead.Treatment necessary ? Kiss and cup of coffee. The wall and the shovel ….Amanha !

The weather has been typical for this time of year in Gois. We watched the clouds build as we sat on the patio in the sunshine, chatting to our guests. “It won’t come to much, will it?….” was the general concensus. 30 minutes later the heavens opened, toying with our efforts to gather newspapers, books, information packs, wooden furniture and Dog in out of the rain. The vegetable patch and gardens looked instantly greener and the vines lifted sun weary limbs to the sky. Another 30 minutes passed, the clouds disappeared, sun once again spread over Casa das Videiras bed and breakfast. Normal service resumed!

We all enjoyed Lasanga tonight, here at Casa das Videiras , good times !

Another gorgeous day here in Central Portugal. Very strong pollen count today, according to the very scientific test of  standing a ‘Sally’ oustide for a couple of seconds, and counting the sneezes ! The olive tree’s and vines are smothered in flowers.Happy bee’s
