of land with breath-taking views of the adjacent forests and rolling hills. Situated in the Beiras region of Central Portugal
we are just a 30 minute drive from Coimbra, a University City bisected by the River Mondego.
The house nestles
in a peaceful hamlet just outside the village of Vila nova do Ceira, where there is a Pharmacy, small supermarket, garage,
ATM, and cafes. The small town of Gois is 5 minutes away. Here you can find facilities including a Health Centre, Banks, Post
Office, Petrol Station, Restaurants, Bars and Café's etc.

COIMBRA
Coimbra is a University City full of history and beautiful architecture, just a 30 minute drive away. Once the Capital, prior
to Lisbon, Coimbra retains a laid back atmosphere unlike the usual hustle and bustle of a major city.
As well as being spoilt for choice for bars, café's and restaurants the city boasts many sights and attractions such as
museums, theatres, cathedrals, art galleries, libraries, castles and nearby beaches..this really is a place oozing with culture.

The ancient city of Conimbriga is the largest Roman settlement in Portugal, and is classified as a National Monument. Conimbriga
was built in layers with the first dating back to the 9th century BC. The Romans arrived in the 2nd Century A.D., conquering
the Celtic inhabitants and establishing a city.
The city walls are largely intact and the mosaic floors and foundations of many houses remain. On site you will find a
museum housing the artifacts found during excavation, and also a café/restaurant and gift shop.

Formally a Palace belonging to the Portuguese Royal Family, Buçaco is situated in the middle of 250 acres of woodland originally
planted by Carmelite monks. Here you will find 700 varieties of trees from the New World discovered by the famous Portuguese
explorers. The forest paths take you on a journey through exotic plants, waterfalls, lakes and gardens.
The hotel boasts a fabulous restaurant and a wine cellar of great renown. The Buçaco Wines, 'mis en bouteille au chateau',
are also a legendary specialty not available elsewhere.

Serra da Estrela, about 90 minutes away, is the highest mountain
range in Portugal and offers plentiful skiing opportunities. The mountain range is about 100km long and is 30km at its widest
point. It is formed from a huge granite ridge that once formed the southern frontier of the country. Because of its beautiful
forests and magnificent views, along with its oddly shaped crags, gorges, mountain streams and lakes, the area ranks among
Portugal's outstanding scenic attractions.

Numerous local villages offer many activities within a 20 minute
radius of Casa Das Videiras. You will find 'River Beaches' with bars and café's where you can swim in the
river and sunbathe on the well kept grassy banks, wonderful forest walks, mountain-bike trails and beautiful views. You
will also find ten pin bowling, go-karting, tennis courts, parks, walks, leisure centres and shops of all descriptions!
